Terms of use
The practical rules for using My First Prompt, including trials, billing and AI-generated results.
Last updated: 25 August 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you visit or use My First Prompt (the “service”). By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
My First Prompt is operated by Scale DM Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12173975. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@myfirstprompt.co.uk.
2. What the service does
The service takes a rough prompt and selected category, then uses automated AI processing to create a clearer prompt for you to use elsewhere. It can also provide a private library for prompts you choose to save.
The generated result is assistance, not a guarantee. You are responsible for checking it, filling in placeholders and deciding whether it is suitable before relying on it or sending it to another AI tool.
3. Accounts and sign-in
You sign in using a one-time code sent to your email. Keep that code and access to your email secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
You must provide accurate information and use only an email account you are entitled to access. You may not share or sell access to your account.
4. Trials, subscriptions and cancellation
Where offered, the Pro plan starts with a one-time 7-day trial and requires a payment card. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription renews monthly at the price and in the currency shown at checkout. The current launch price shown by the service is US$9.99 per month after the trial, inclusive of applicable indirect taxes. If you subscribe again after using the trial, billing starts when that new checkout is completed.
For purchases processed through Managed Payments, Link is the merchant of record and Stripe and Link handle checkout, billing, applicable indirect taxes, receipts and transaction support. You can cancel or update your payment method through the billing tools available from your account or Link. A cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your account page will show the billing dates supplied to us by Stripe.
Any refund rights required by law remain unaffected. If checkout, price or renewal information conflicts with older promotional wording, the information shown at checkout before you confirm payment takes priority.
5. Fair use
You may use the service for lawful personal or business work. Technical and reasonable-usage limits may apply to protect reliability and prevent abuse.
You must not use the service to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malware, obtain unauthorised access, evade safeguards, overload the service, automate abusive requests or submit content you have no right to use.
6. Your content and generated output
You keep your rights in the content you submit. You give us the limited permission needed to process it, send it to our AI subprocessor and provide the features you request. If you save a prompt, that permission continues while it remains in your library.
If you start sign-in and checkout from an unsaved result, a versioned copy of the draft, result and requested next action is stored in sessionStorage for that browser tab so the action can resume afterwards. This hand-off expires after 60 minutes, is removed after a successful resume and usually clears when the tab closes. It is not added to your prompt library or our application database unless your requested action is to save it and that action completes successfully.
AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable or similar output for different users. We do not promise that output is unique, error-free or eligible for intellectual-property protection. You are responsible for reviewing output and for the way you use it.
Do not treat generated prompts or later AI output as professional legal, medical, financial or other regulated advice.
7. Our service and intellectual property
The service, brand, interface, software and original service materials belong to us or our licensors. These terms let you use the service; they do not transfer ownership of those materials.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or create a competing service from protected parts of the service except where applicable law expressly allows it.
8. Availability and account action
We work to keep the service available, but interruptions, errors and maintenance can happen. We may change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.
We may restrict or suspend access if we reasonably believe an account is being used unlawfully, abusively, fraudulently or in a way that threatens the service or other users. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the action.
9. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your mandatory consumer rights are not affected.
To the extent the law permits, we are not responsible for losses caused by using unreviewed AI output, third-party services, events outside our reasonable control, or uses of the service that breach these terms. If you use the service for business, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings.
10. Ending use and deleting content
You can stop using the service at any time. Deleting a saved prompt removes it from your library. Ending a subscription does not automatically delete your account or saved prompts.
You can delete your account from Account. Because deletion is security-sensitive, you may be asked to sign in again before it completes. Contact support if you need help. Records may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention or accounting reasons.
11. Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections and court rights in the place where you live still apply.
We may update these terms when the service or law changes. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way. Continuing to use the service after updated terms take effect means the updated terms apply.
